I really enjoy listening to the ISV Bible, I put them on at night and find it very conforting. I have just started so I expect the same as I continue to explore. This is an excellent product! I'm more than pleased with the quality of the recordings. I purchased this product so that I would be able to listen to Scripture in the car on my way to work. I am also a seminary student and needed to purchase an audio Bible for a course I am taking. I downloaded the MP3 version that gives each chapter its own track. This was one of the reasons this particular audio Bible was attractive. It is very easy and convenient to navigate. The actual recording does have music in the background, but it is subtle, doesn't distract from what is being read, and I believe actually enhances the quality of the product. It is also worth noting that The Listener's Bible's customer service is top class! They have gone above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied with my purchase. I would highly recommend this product and company to anyone who is looking for a quality audio recording of Scripture.

I love Max McLean's voice on this audio Bible - clear, strong, and with the correct amount of emotion, meaning not too dry, and not overly dramatic. Highly recommended.

Narration is clear and expressive. He adds his talent to the reading without getting in the way of the power of the words themselves. This recording would be a reason to purchase an MP3 player on its own merits!

I went with the ESV and am loving it. I had previously purchased Max's NIV on CD. There is someting about ESV that causes me to be more comfortable with the translation though, and I am enjoying listening to the Word more than ever. I can't help but wonder how blessed we are in this day and age to be able to absorb the Word at this level!
