I found Here I Stand to be OUTSTANDING!!!!

I robustly recommend this reader's rendering! Seriously, I was taken aback by Max McLean's "performance" of a story that is compelling on its own. This is the way to learn history! I give it all the gold stars that will fit.

Too few Americans are familiar with the integrity, courage and dedication of Martin Luther in his stand for God's truth and against the religious powers and leaders of his day. Like Christ's stand against the Pharisees a millenium and a half earlier, Luther stood for Christ, who told us He was the truth. There are too few who know the truth and fewer still are those who will stand for it in today's age. Thank God for Luther's stand for God, The Truth, The Light and The Way - and for Max McLean's ability to take us there and put us in the chambers of the trial against Truth so we can hear one of the greatest defenses of all time of the absolute truth of God's Word. This is a moving and powerful account of God at work through the conscience of one believer standing firm on the Truth of His Word. Listen and be filled God's power, courage and strength to stand, wherever you are, on the side of God. I could not recommend a recording more highly.

Very good! More and more I long to understand the history of the faith that I hold to and this is one more great addition to learning that history.

A superior rendition of a vital document in Christian history. We need to respect, honor, and learn from the great men and women of God who went before us. Max McLean helps us to feel and understand Luther and honor the work that the Holy Spirit did through him.
